To round out the leadership team, Kevin McAlister, PE, was promoted to Director of Bridge Engineering; Jack Kimbrough, PE, was promoted to Director of Roadway Design; and new hire Jeff Glass, PE, will take the role of Construction Engineering and Inspection (CEI) Director. Together, McAlister, Kimbrough, and Glass represent over 60 years in the industry with a depth of experience in alternative delivery methods, Accelerated Bridge Construction, and CEI for multi-million-dollar projects. They join Director of Projects Steve Mosher, PE, PTOE, and Director of Aviation Services Randy Hudgings, PE.
President and CEO Bob Higgins shares, “Barge is committed to growing leaders within our ranks and being the best place to work in the Southeast. We also recognize the critical needs across our geographic footprint for innovative, quality solutions to challenging transportation opportunities. This recent investment in promotions and a new hire represent our efforts in both moments.”
"We are committed to retaining our top talent and providing them succession plan options that enable them to grow through their entire career and stay at Barge. When you couple our retention strategy with being a best place to work, it also allows us to attract the region's top talent to our team. Firms are only as strong as the people they employ. Through our retention and recruiting strategies, we are able to then bring the innovative solutions our region demands in transportation and transit infrastructure."
