Melinda Parrish Brumfield Joins Barge Design Solutions in the Gwinnett County, Georgia Office as Director of Development – Private Markets

Gwinnett County, Ga. - Barge Design Solutions (Barge), a leading regional engineering and architecture firm, is pleased to announce the appointment of Melinda Parrish Brumfield as Director of Development – Private Markets. Brumfield brings over two decades of experience in Atlanta’s architecture, engineering, construction and real estate industries to her new role. She will be based at Barge’s Gwinnett County, Georgia office.
In her position, Brumfield will spearhead Barge’s mission critical, industrial and energy, healthcare, and land development markets throughout Georgia and the Southeast. Her responsibilities will encompass strategic development and execution, talent acquisition, identification and cultivation of strategic partnerships and acquisition targets. As an industry leader, she will serve as a mentor to Barge’s client service leaders and team members as the firm seeks to grow its team and client base throughout the region.

Brumfield’s professional involvement extends to several industry-related groups in Georgia and across the Southeast, including Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW) Atlanta, the International Society of Pharmaceutical Engineers (ISPE), 7x24 Exchange International, NAIOP (Commercial Real Estate Development Association), Society of Industrial & Office Realtors (SIOR), and the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME). Brumfield currently serves as a board member of the Atlanta and Carolinas chapters for Women in Mission Critical Operations (WIMCO), highlighting her dedication to promoting women’s roles in vital operations. Brumfield also contributes to the Technology Association of Georgia (TAG), where she holds a position on the organization’s Infrastructure Society Board.
In addition to her professional endeavors, Brumfield is equally passionate about giving back to the local community. She actively fundraises and volunteers for worthy causes such as the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Light the Night program, Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, and the Northside Athletic Foundation. Brumfield’s exceptional achievements were recognized when was named an honoree of the prestigious Titan 100 in both 2022 and 2023, acknowledging her as one of Georgia’s Top 100 CEOs and C-level executives.
