Reece Tucker Receives Honey Badger Spotlight Award

Barge Design Solutions (Barge) has selected Nashville-based Project Architect Reece Tucker, RA, as a recipient of the Honey Badger Spotlight Award.

The employee-nominated award recognizes employees who stay true to Barge values and exhibit characteristics associated with the tenacious honey badger. These characteristics include being fearless and not giving up when faced with adversity during a competitive proposal or challenging project. In addition, employees are resourceful, innovative when challenges arise, and persistent in their efforts to be the firm selected when it matters most.

Reece, who joined Barge in 2021, was nominated for his leadership as co-chair of the firm’s Young Professional Network (YPN). The YPN was created to allow Barge’s employees an opportunity to connect and share their experiences as young professionals with an emphasis on professional and personal growth.

“Reece has been incredibly involved with the YPN, constantly thinking of new ways to engage and encourage the involvement of both young professionals and more tenured employees through content and activities,” says Sarah Camperlino, Strategic Communications Specialist. “He is deserving of this award because of his willingness to help lead the group, take on extra initiatives, and ensure tasks are completed – all on top of his own busy workload.”

Reece has over nine years of experience in all aspects of architectural design. As a registered architect in Tennessee and New York, his career has focused on master planning, vertical expansion, and the development of healthcare and industrial projects. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Vanderbilt University and a Master of Architecture degree from Columbia University.
