Galleria Parkway Streetscape
The Challenge
The Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre was the first planned Livable Communities Initiative (LCI) installation in the area and was designed as a cultural center for arts, entertainment, businesses, and residences. The Atlanta Regional Commission wanted a landscape design that would serve as the “front door” for the complex along Galleria Parkway, creating pedestrian facilities that connected existing and future developments in a way that unifies the character of the district.
The Solution
Barge Design Solutions developed a streetscape that addresses future growth for both pedestrians and vehicles. The design included a multi-use trail that ties in with the Cobb County trail system and incorporates artistic influences for the cultural center.
