Barge's CEO Recognized in Nashville Business Journal’s 2020 Commercial Real Estate Leadership Awards

13 / May / 2020

Barge’s President and Chief Executive Officer Bob Higgins has been named one of the 2020 winners of Nashville Business Journal’s Commercial Real Estate Leadership Awards.

This recognition honors Nashville-area individuals who are at the forefront of our city’s growth – noticing opportunities, participating in their communities as thought leaders, and creatively addressing clients’ challenges. There are multiple award categories, some of which are Architect of the Year, Builder of the Year, Dealmaker of the Year, and Neighborhood Developer of the Year. Bob has been selected as an Engineer of the Year. A tentative awards reception is scheduled for mid-October.

Nashville has grown exponentially over the last decade amidst great change and challenge, from living and working in the wake of nationwide recession, to rebuilding after the flood of 2010, to recovering economically with an energy that propelled the city into being a popular destination. Elected as CEO in 2009, Bob has successfully led this Nashville-headquartered engineering firm through these ebbs and flows while positioning Barge among the leaders of the pack redeveloping and revitalizing our communities. Barge has had a hand in many of Nashville’s recent large developments, such as Capitol View off Charlotte Avenue, Century Farms in Antioch, Four Seasons in SoBro, and Downtown’s 505 Building.
